The last two decades have seen many of Asia\u2019s nations rise dramatically to prominence on the world stage. The identities, practices and ways of life of the region\u2019s inhabitants have changed accordingly. These transformations continue apace, and are both reflected in and shaped by the continent\u2019s dizzyingly diverse language, narrative and performance cultures.
