With the population projected to increase further, the demand for housing developments is expected to rise in tandem. Hence, there is an urgent need to find out more about the micro-climate of these urbanized housing developments.<\/p>\n<p>A study was conducted in 2009 for this purpose. The team conducting the study comprises of Bernadett Bal\u00e1zs (Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology), Terianne Hall (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Matthias Roth (National University of Singapore), and Leslie K. Norford (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
