Vasoo (NUS Department of Social Work) and Bilveer Singh (NUS Department of Political Science). The essays presented chose to define \u201cassets\u201d broadly. Apart from traditional tangible assets such as housing, intangible assets such as multiculturalism and an intolerance of corruption were also mentioned.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who attended the book\u2019s launch, highlighted these intangible assets. He emphasized how they hold Singaporeans together as one people. He further remarked on how academics play a vital role in sparking constructive discussions for Singapore\u2019s benefit.
