Differences in neural structuring, and its subsequent functioning, as well as environmental experiences contribute to these findings.<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The collectivistic yet diverse nature of Singapore society (i.e. multicultural, multiracial, high-immigration), which stems from the government policies<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">, <\/span>emphasizes the complexity of the issue. Within the family unit, there may be increasing contextual varieties which may influence children\u2019s development, such as bilingualism or transnational marriages. Apart from family influences, differences in children\u2019s educational<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>context may have an impact on their social and moral development. These factors will be further investigated by the<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>NUS<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Centre for Family and Population Research to determine if they promote or hinder early<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>child<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>development, especially<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>in<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>disadvantaged families. The Singapore Longitudinal Early Development Study<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>(SG LEADS), funded by the Ministry of Education,<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>kicks<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>off<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>this month<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and seeks<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>to provide greater insights for various stakeholders to encourage positive early
