It evaluates their overall reach, identifies gaps in service delivery, and examines the level of collaboration among providers in addressing food insecurity and wastage. Commissioned by Food Bank Singapore Limited and independently conducted by SSR, this study adopts a two-phase mixed methods approach to gain a comprehensive understanding of the experiences of food support providers through online surveys and group interviews. By assessing both the social impact and challenges of food assistance, this study aims to inform food support programme development and policy decisions with the ultimate goal of enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of food support efforts in Singapore.

 Survey Recruitment

Recruitment for survey participants is still ongoing!

Who is eligible?

Representatives (>21 years old) of food support providers with adequate insights into programme operations

Your participation can help to:

Highlight the crucial roles that food support services play in addressing food insecurity

Raise public awareness of the role and needs of food support services in the community

Provide feedback that could shape future strategies and policy recommendations

Share good practices among food support providers.

Click the following to sign up: Participant Information Sheet cum Consent Form

Key Facts

Principal Investigator : Dr Seah Lay Hoon (NUS)

Co-Investigator: Dr Shin Soye (Duke-NUS)

Researcher : Ms Linda Tay (NUS)

Research Focus : Food support services, Food support programme development

 Partnering Agency

 Staff Involved

 Dr Seah Lay Hoon

 Ms Linda Tay

Hunger Report III Project Overview This landscape study of local food support providers seeks to document the profiles of food support services in terms of where, what, how, and to whom food is distributed.
