(Hons.)]<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students will be required to complete:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>60 Units of CHS College requirements<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>52 units of CHS common curriculum<\/li>\n<li>8 units of Project requirement for SW majors<br \/>\ni) SW3103C Social Work Field Practice (I) (4 units)<br \/>\nii) SW3104B Social Work Field Practice (II) (4 units)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pass at least 60 units of SW or SW-recognised courses, which include the following:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>SW1101E Social Work: A Heart-Head-Hand Connection<\/li>\n<li>SW2101 Working with Individuals and Families<\/li>\n<li>SW2104 Human Development over the Lifespan<\/li>\n<li>SW2105 Values &amp; Skills for Helping Relationships,<\/li>\n<li>SW2106 Social Group Work Practice,<\/li>\n<li>SW3101 Social Work Research Methods or PL2131 Research and Statistical Method I, or SC2101 Methods of Social Research,<\/li>\n<li>SW3105 Community Work Practice,<\/li>\n<li>SW4102 Social Policy and Planning (4 Units), and<\/li>\n<li>SW4103 Advanced Research and Evaluation (4 Units).<\/li>\n<li>Read and pass a minimum of 36 Units at level 3000 or higher (including courses listed above), with<br \/>\n(i) A minimum of 20 Units at level-4000 or higher.<br \/>\n(ii) A maximum of 1 SW course at level-5000 can be read (subject to Department&#8217;s approval)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>40 units of Unrestricted Electives requirements <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong><br \/>\nSecond Major<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Pass at least 40 units of SW or SW-recognised courses, which include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>SW1101E Social Work: A Heart-Head-Hand Connection<\/li>\n<li>SW2101 Working with Individuals and Families,<\/li>\n<li>SW2104 Human Development over the Lifespan,<\/li>\n<li>SW2105 Values &amp; Skills for Helping Relationships,<\/li>\n<li>SW2106 Social Group Work Practice,<\/li>\n<li>SW3101 Social Work Research Methods or PL2131 Research and Statistical Methods I, or SC2101 Methods of Social Research,<\/li>\n<li>SW3103C Social Work Field Practice (I) (4 units)<\/li>\n<li>SW3104B Social Work Field Practice (II) (4 units)<\/li>\n<li>SW3105 Community Work Practice<\/li>\n<li>Read and pass a minimum of 16 units at level 3000 or higher (including courses listed above).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong><br \/>\nMinor In Human Services<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Accumulate at least 20 units of SW courses, which include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read and pass the following courses:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>SW1101E Social Work: A Heart-Head-Hand Connection, and<\/li>\n<li>SW2104 Human Development over the Lifespan.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Read and pass a minimum of 12 units at level-3000, provided courses requirements are met and the courses are not excluded for Minor students.<\/li>\n<li>The following courses are excluded for Minor students and Minor students are not allowed to read them:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>SW2101 Working with Individuals and Families<\/li>\n<li>SW2105 Values &amp; Skills for Helping Relationships<\/li>\n<li>SW2106 Social Group Work Practice<\/li>\n<li>SW3103 Social Work Field Practice<\/li>\n<li>SW3105 Community Work Practice,<\/li>\n<li>SW3209 Counselling Theories &amp; Practice,<\/li>\n<li>SW3214 Counselling Process &amp; Skills<\/li>\n<li>SW3103C Social Work Field Practice (I)<\/li>\n<li>SW3104B Social Work Field Practice (II)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Students who have read the above excluded courses before they declare Minor in Human Services or have switched from a Social Work Major to Minor in Human Services cannot use them to fulfil Minor in Human Services requirement.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\"  id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\">For Students Admitted in AY2020\/21 <\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\"  tabindex=\"0\"><i title=\"Expand\">Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4><b>Single Major [B.Soc.Sci. (Hons.)]<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pass SW1101E. This will be counted towards the Faculty Core or Unrestricted Elective (UE) requirement.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pass at least 84 units of SW courses or SW-recognised courses, which include the following: <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>SW2101 Working with Individuals and Families<\/li>\n<li>SW2104 Human Development over the Lifespan<\/li>\n<li>SW2105 Values &amp; Skills for Helping Relationships<\/li>\n<li>SW2106 Social Group Work Practice<\/li>\n<li>SW3101 Social Work Research Methods or PL2131 Research and Statistical Method I or SC2101 Methods of Social Research<\/li>\n<li>SW3103B Social Work Field Practice (I)<\/li>\n<li>SW3104A Social Work Field Practice (II)<\/li>\n<li>SW3105 Community Work Practice<\/li>\n<li>SW4101 (5 units) or SW4227 (5 units) \/ SW4227HM (5 units) Advanced Family-Centred SWK Practice<\/li>\n<li>SW4102 (5 units) \/SW4102HM Social Policy and Planning (5 units), and<\/li>\n<li>SW4103 (5 units) \/SW4103HM Advanced Research and Evaluation (5 units).<\/li>\n<li>Read and pass a minimum of 64 units at level 3000 or higher (including courses listed above), with<br \/>\n(i) A minimum of 40 units at level-4000 or higher.<br \/>\n(ii) A maximum of 2 SW courses at level-5000 (subject to Department&#8217;s approval).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To declare an Honours track, students must have completed 110 units, including 44 units in the Major, with a CAP of 3.20 and above.<\/li>\n<li>The Honours Thesis (15 units) is optional. To qualify for the Honours Thesis, students must complete 110 units including 44 units of SW major requirement with a minimum CAP of 3.50. In order to obtain B.Soc.Sci. Honours (Highest Distinction), students must achieve a CAP of 4.5 or above. Honours Thesis will no longer be a requirement to attain Honours Highest Distinction for all cohorts. Please refer to this <a href=\"https:\/\/myportal.nus.edu.sg\/studentportal\/fas\/ug\/docs\/resources\/honours-classification-requirements.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">page<\/a> for the requirements of Honours Classification. Students can still freely take up the Honours Thesis if it suits your academic or career plans.<\/li>\n<li>Students who do not attempt the Honours Thesis will read level-4000 courses to fulfil the Honours Requirement.<\/li>\n<li>Students may also read a level-4000 Independent Studies Course (5 units). This level-4000 IS Course carries a pre-requisite of 100 units completed, including 44 units in the Major, with a minimum CAP of 3.20. It precludes the Honours Thesis.<\/li>\n<li>All level-4000 courses carry a general pre-requisite of having completed 80 units, including 28 units in the Major, with a minimum CAP of 3.20 OR being on the Honours Track (some level-4000 courses may have different pre-requisites).<\/li>\n<li>Students are encouraged to read an additional 8 units in the major within the 36 units of UE space.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><b><br \/>\nSingle Major (B.A.)<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pass SW1101E.
