How often is the LCG Grant Call?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Grant Call takes place every two years.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Can I submit more than one application?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Yes, you may submit more than one application if you have different research topics or ideas.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

I am interested to apply for the LCG Grant. Are applications accepted throughout the year?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Applications are accepted within a specified period only.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

I am not a practicing social worker but I’m interested in doing social work practice research. Can I apply?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

You may apply as long as you have qualifications in Social Work and are working in a Social Service Agency or in medical setting.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Can I have more than one Principal Investigator (PI) from the practitioner’s end?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

There can only be one practitioner PI and one practitioner Co-I (if any). The rest of the team members can be Collaborators.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Can I choose the academic PI to be paired with for my project if I am selected?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Selection Committee will propose the suitable Academic PI for the projects, taking into account the research topics, areas of interest and expertise of the academic.<\/p>\n

(Awardees will be informed of the proposed candidate before the confirmation is made. Awardees should raise any concerns or issues regarding the matter, so that the Selection Committee can look into it.)<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Can I buy out my time to carry out the research?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

This is an institutional call. Your organisation has to ensure that you and your team are provided with protected time to carry out the research outside of your usual job scope. This is part of the endorsement, which your organisation has to agree and sign against, with the application form.<\/p>\n

You may, however, engage the service of a Research Assistant or student to assist in some parts of the research.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Will all the data ownership and intellectual property rights be vested within NUS only?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

It is not necessary that the rights will be vested within NUS only. Under certain circumstances, the rights can be vested within your organisation, or it could be both as a joint ownership.<\/p>\n

There will be a collaborative research agreement to be mutually agreed and signed between NUS and your organisation. The agreement has been prepared taking into considerations of the likely scenarios and stages where the rights will need to be clarified. Awardees and their respective organisations should raise their concerns before signing the agreement. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

How can I submit the application form?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Please submit the completed application form, along with the necessary documents as stated in the form to swk_LCGResFund@nus.edu.sg<\/u><\/strong>, with the subject stating ‘Application Submission – <your last name>, <your organisation>’.<\/p>\n

Note: For the signatures required in the last two pages of the Application Form, please pen-sign accordingly and scan the pages for submission. The rest of the Application Form should remain in word document format (.doc or .docx) as far as possible.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

When will the outcome be released? How will I be informed of the outcome?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application at the end of the selection process. A Letter of Award will also be issued to the Practitioner-PI and their organisation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

What happens after the release of the outcome? <\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

An awards ceremony will be scheduled following the release of selection results. The\u00a0 LCG awardees’ research and management teams will be invited to attend the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Following the award ceremony, there will also be a few meetings to settle administrative procedures, as well as to discuss the Research Collaboration Agreement.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Will there be a briefing for the grant call?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

There will be a seminar where a pre-grant call briefing will be given to reiterate pertinent information regarding the Mrs Lee Choon Guan Endowed Research Grant.<\/p>\n

After the awarding of LCG grant recipients, an administrative briefing will be conducted for the awardees and their respective academic PIs.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Are there any consultation sessions available for sign ups?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t

From time to time, we will announce available consultation sessions to our mailing list for sign ups. Alternatively, you can check with us via email and we may be able to link you up with someone who can assist you.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
