\n\t\t\tIntroduction\t<\/h3>\n\t

The Translation and Interpreting Research Group aims to stimulate academic research and training in translation and interpreting studies, encompassing the many different forms and manifestations of translation phenomena, e.g., literary translation, audiovisual translation, localisation, technology-assisted translation and conference and community interpreting in both spoken and signed modalities.<\/p>\n

We welcome faculty and graduate students from the Department of Chinese Studies and the wider NUS community who are interested in translation, interpreting and intercultural communication to join us. With its special emphasis on the Chinese context, the group will facilitate intellectual engagement locally and globally on translational mediation from a variety of epistemological, methodological, social, cultural, historical, cognitive, technological and pedagogical perspectives.<\/p>\n

We hold a forum on translation and interpreting studies regularly, and our activities include:<\/p>\n
