Research Group: Tropical Environmental Change (TEC)
Thesis Advisor: Dr Wei Luo

International trade disputes, major infectious disease outbreaks, abrupt climatic shifts, etc., on global trade and supply chain transformations. Moving beyond the traditional economic-focused analyses, my study introduces a range of novel geographical methodologies. These methodologies encompass Spatial Social Network Analysis, Geovisualization, the application of GeoAI, etc. This research aims to evaluate the resilience and sustainability of global supply chains amidst these major events, forecast alterations in supply chain networks, and predict future commodity demands across various regions.

In addition, it uses the insights gained from these geographic assessments and forecasts to optimize supply chain structure and configuration.
