Andrew X. Li is Assistant Professor of International Relations at Central European University. He is a graduate of National University of Singapore, where he also received a MA. He earned a joint PhD from National University of Singapore and King’s College London. Prior to joining Central European University, he was a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University, working on a project funded by Singapore’s National Research Foundation. His research focuses on the political economy of international finance, migration, and development as well as foreign policy (re)alignment and global power shifts. He has published in leading English- and Chinese-language journals, incl. Economics & Politics, Journal of International Relations and Development, Science and Public Policy, and Journal of World Economics and Politics. An alumnus of the IPSA-NUS Methods School, he is in charge of the Research Design and Methods course sequence at Central European University and has previously taught various methods courses, such as Causal Inference, Causal Mediation Analysis, and Panel Data Analysis, at the ECPR Summer and Winter Schools at the University of Bamberg and Central European University in Budapest.
