MUHAMMAD SUHAIL MOHAMED YAZID

Muhammad Suhail Mohamed Yazid is a historian, author, and Senior Tutor in the Department of Malay Studies. His research focuses on the history of decolonization in the Malay World, the Commonwealth of Nations, and the Global South.

He is the author of He Who is Made Lord: Empire, Class and Race in Postwar Singapore (2023), which examines the role and significance of the Yang di-Pertuan Negara in Singapore’s postwar history.
