Two faculty members from the Geography Department, Professor Brenda Yeoh and Associate Professor Victor Savage, explore the multifaceted dynamics behind Singapore’s road names and places in their co-authored book “Singapore Street Names – A Study of Toponymics” (3rd Ed.). “Singapore’s fascinating tapestry of street toponyms… reflects its development from a port-city of the British Empire to a multicultural post-colonial city-state well integrated into the global order” said Prof Yeoh.
