NUS Centre for Trusted Internet and Community organises first ever citizens’ dialogue on the future of the Internet in Singapore

The Singapore leg of the first-ever “We, the internet” Global Citizens initiative will launch from Saturday 10th October at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, NUS. Led by Dr Natalie Pang (Department of Communications and New Media) 100 participants will be invited to learn, discuss and decide what will make the internet a more productive place for them in the years to come.

The themes under discussion, digital identity, the digital public commons, inclusiveness, and artificial intelligence will be addressed through the prism of COVID-19 and its dramatic effect on the rapid digitalisation of many Singaporean’s lives over the past several months.

Global partners of the “We, the internet” project include the European Commission, the Council of Europe, UNESCO, Internet Society, Wikimedia Foundation, World Wide Web Foundation, World Economic Forum, as well as private sector companies Google and Facebook.
