Why Learn Chinese? It is because one-fifth of the planet speaks Mandarin Chinese. Mandarin Chinese is the mother tongue of over one billion people, making it the most widely spoken first language in the world.
Learning Chinese gives you a better understanding through the grammar and even how the Chinese words are derived of the culture behind them.
We designed to provide an insight to Mandarin as a language and the understanding of Chinese culture.

This course will cover the representative prose writings in modern Chinese literary and will give the participants a unique opportunity to get access to the essence of Chinese cultures as well as the charm of the language itself.

Minimum entry requirement : Basic Chinese Proficiency (Chinese as a second language ‘O’ Level). 

All self-sponsored Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use available funds in their SkillsFuture Credit account to pay their course fees.

  • To improve their ability to write in formal styles.
  • To acquaint students with Chinese thinking styles

Participants will be introduced to a few topics concerning Chinese culture written in different styles.
