Ms Jeniati received a Master of Practising Accounting from Monash University, Australia. Her interest to teach Indonesian as
a foreign language started since she resides in Singapore. She has been teaching Indonesian in Singapore at various
institutions both in the private and public sectors since 2003. In August 2012, together with Johanna W. Istanto and
Indrianti, she published an Indonesian grammar book entitled “Tata Bahasa Indonesia Praktis-Komunikatif untuk Pemula”
(Communicative Practical Grammar of Indonesian Language for Beginners), which is used as a textbook for Indonesian level 1
in National University of Singapore. In November 2014 she received Teaching Excellence Award from the Centre for Language
Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore.
