Ms. Zeinab Hendawi has a BA in English Literature from the University of Aleppo in her native country, Syria.
She finished in 2018 her MA in TASOL (Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages) at the Universal
American University, Manhattan, California, USA. Additionally, she has a TASOL Certificate from the Education
Canada College, Montreal, Pasadena, California, USA, and a Certificate of Arabic Classroom Professional
Development from Aldeen Foundation, Pasadena, Canada.
Ms. Hendawi is a native speaker of Arabic and has excellent communication skills in English. She is well-informed
about the theories of foreign language teaching and learning, and highly-versed in teaching Arabic to non-native
speakers. She has lived, studied and worked in different countries and has cross-cultural understanding. She started
teaching Arabic at the External Language Programme in July 2018 intake and her feedback and teaching evaluations
from students are very good.
