Launch of Centre for Cultural Research & Development

The Inter-Asia Cultural Studies Society and NUS Cultural Research Centre will be hosting a joint launch of the Centre for Cultural Research and Development (CCRD) at Lingnan University in Hong Kong.

The 2-hour online session will be moderated by Prof Audrey Yue and will include presentations by the coordinators for the 4 research programmes at CCRD, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

The speakers include:

• Prof. Tejaswini Niranjana, Director of CCRD and leads the Virality and Digital Futures programme which analyzes digital spaces & identities, and cyber-mediations of institutional structures and human interaction.
• Dr Roberto Castillo, Assistant Professor and coordinator of the Cultures of Mobility and Migration programme which examines media, gender-sexuality, diasporic identity, and trans-nationalism.
• Dr Anjeline De Dios, Assistant Professor and coordinator of the Cultures of Sound and Music programme which explores spatialities, technologies, and practices of music.
• Dr Lau, Kin-chi, Adjunct Associate Professorand coordinator of the Cultures of Sustainability programme which investigates sustainable livelihood, ecology, and cultural tolerance.
