Danny Wang I Kai

I received my B.A. in English from National Taiwan Normal University. Funded by the National Science and Technology Council, my undergraduate research examined the representation of boredom in the poetry of American poet Anne Sexton and was awarded the College Student Research Creativity Award.

I am currently an M.A. by Research student in English Literature at the National University of Singapore. Supported by the FASS Buddhist Studies Scholarship, my research explores the fusion of Western poetry and Buddhist sutras, examining how this literary form cultivates heightened ecological awareness in the works of Allen Ginsberg and Gary Snyder.
