LI Sin Yee Melody (Lily)

I am a PhD student specializing in contact linguistics and language description. I am currently working on Yilan Creole, a contact language spoken in Taiwan, by conducting fieldwork with community members.

I obtained my BA in General Linguistics (minor: Psychology) at the University of Hong Kong in 2016 and worked as teaching assistant in the Department of Linguistics for a few years before pursuing my MA.

I completed my MA in Linguistics at Aarhus University (Denmark) in 2021 with my MA thesis describing the tense-mood-aspect system of Yilan Creole.

I also went on exchange to the University of Edinburgh and Australian National University, reading linguistics and psychology.
