PerformCT is an open-access, multi-media archive for academic and theatrical works that are related to traditional performance today. It also provides information on traditional performance events that are happening in present day.

There are three main sections: “Projects” is an archive for events such as conferences and performances with multimedia documentation. Research writings (notes, papers, synopsis) relevant to the specific traditional performance genre can be found in this section. “Event Highlights” functions like a bulletin board: it presents selected latest news on traditional performance on campuses and educational institutes in Asia and North America. “Media Gallery” showcases selected multimedia on the site, with links to the pages that host these media material.

Students, teachers, practitioners, researchers, audiences and the general public who are interested in traditional performance and its presence in contemporary world will find this website interesting and relevant.

PerformCT is created by Associate Professor Lim Beng Choo (Department of Japanese Studies, NUS) with technical collaborations from Mr Feng Yikang and Mr Richard Ho Cheng Yong from Digital Scholarship team, NUS Libraries.
