The Department of Chinese Studies recently published a bibliography of publications by local Teochew groups, which follows a previous one published in 2012 containing research materials on the Teochew community in Southeast Asia. Sponsored by the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan, the 310-page book contains 382 entries and more than 400 kinds of literature.

In an interview with Lianhe Zaobao, Associate Professor Lee Chee Hiang of the department said that both books aim to provide more comprehensive and systematic bibliographies so as to contribute to the research and teaching on the history and socio-cultural life of the Teochews in Southeast Asia.
