Building the Singapore Brand

In an article contribution to Lianhe Zaobao, Associate Professor Grant Shen (FASS English Language and Literature) discussed the dramatic pieces performed at the inaugural Singapore Chinese Opera Festival, which showcased the best of the traditional art form. He noted that there is a need to consolidate resources devoted to the art due to Singapore’s small size and opined that it is clear that the festival organizer, the Traditional Arts Center, is committed to build another new Singapore brand.
