Mr Desmond Chin graduated with Honours from NUS Social Work in 1990 and thereafter joined the Singapore Prison Service. He has held several appointments, among them Superintendent of then-Changi Prison. He has also served in the Ministry of Home Affairs in various roles before his recent appointment as Commission of Prisons in 2016.
