Spanish – DELE Examination – Centre for Language Studies

DELE stands for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language). These diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language are official titles certifying a degree of competence and mastery of the Spanish language, issued by the Spanish Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Spain to participants who have passed a standardised test indicating their level of European Spanish language proficiency.

A1 for young learners (candidates 11-17 years old)
A2/B1 for young learners (candidates 11-17 years old) The candidates who pass will receive one of the two certificates depending on their results.

REGISTRATION

Requirements:

You can download the application form here: DELE enrolment application form. The data, written in Latin characters and in capital letters, must match those of the candidate’s passport. The candidate’s personal address and postal code must appear on the application form.
Scanned passport or official photo of your NRIC.

Once you have all the required documents, please submit them to dele.sg@nus.edu.sg and we will proceed to register you.

ATTENTION: We strictly do not allow registrations after the deadline.

Payment:

Once we receive the application documents, you will be sent an invoice via email. Follow the instructions in the invoice to make payment.

The written and oral exams will take place at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Before the Exam

Once you are enrolled, you will receive an email confirmation from Instituto Cervantes.

One week before the exam’s date, you will receive an email from NUS DELE Examination Center with the information about the exams’ timings for the written and oral test and location.

On the Day of the Exam

Make sure you arrive on time to the exam (all the DELE writing exams start at 9:00 AM). Bring your personal identification (the one used when you registered) and your registration paper.

After the Exam – Results

Instituto Cervantes shall communicate the results to the candidates approximately 3 months after the exam through the DELE exams website: https://examenes.cervantes.es/

The qualifications/grades are accessible with the registration code and date of birth of the candidate. All successful candidates may collect his/her diploma at the Centre where registration had taken place.

You will receive an email from the Instituto Cervantes with the marks. If you have passed the exam, within 6 and 9 months after the exam, NUS DELE Examination Center will receive your DELE certificate. We will then contact you regarding delivery.
