Undergraduate Teaching Opportunities Programme (UTOP) – Korean Language

The Undergraduate Teaching Opportunities Programme (UTOP) is designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on teaching experience in a structured and supervised environment.
In the Korean language program, UTOP participants support faculty in various aspects of teaching, coordination, and student engagement throughout the semester.

Total Hours: 100 hours
(13 weeks *4 hours)-attending lecture and discussion  session (2-3 hrs) weekly 

*Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Grading Continuous Assessments
    Learning various forms of continuous assessment under the guidance of the instructor.
  2. Teaching and Support for Facilitation and Coordination
    Helping to source, organize, and prepare course materials, supplementary readings, or visual aids.
  3. Assisting during class sessions
    Assisting the instructor with class coordination tasks such as classroom management.
  4. Supporting class activities, small group work, and discussion facilitation
    Student Support and mentoring

*Eligibility

This opportunity is typically open to students with strong Korean language proficiency (usually Level 6 or above) who demonstrate responsibility, initiative, and interest in language teaching or Korean studies.

*Supervision

All UTOP activities are carried out under the supervision of a faculty member, who provides guidance and feedback throughout the program.
