Brief Introduction

Brief Introduction

I am senior lecturer of Thai as a foreign language at the Centre for Language Studies (CLS). Currently, I am Convenor of the Thai Language Programme and Assistant Director of the CLS. Joining NUS since 2000, I have been coordinating and teaching Thai language modules at all levels, ranging from beginners, intermediate to advanced proficiency level. In addition, I serve as consultant and coordinator for Thai External Courses, under the CLS External Language Programme, offering a wide range of Thai courses, Thai 1-Thai 9, Thai for business purposes and customized courses.

I have won the FASS Faculty Teaching Excellence Award from AY2013/14 to AY2018/19, as well as the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award for AY2015/16 and AY2018/19.

I received my MA in English Studies and Applied Linguistics from the National University of Singapore and the University of Melbourne respectively. I am currently pursuing my doctorate study in language education, the University of Western Australia.

My research interest currently focuses on intercultural education, curriculum development and teaching methodologies, teaching materials development, and technology-enhanced language learning.

I am on the Editorial Board of e-FLT, Electronic Journal of Foreign Language Teaching, https://e-flt.nus.edu.sg/.
