Master of Economics’ Logo Design Competition 2022

Terms and Conditions

1. Duration of Competition Starts on 27 October 2022, and ends on 15 December 2022.
2. Eligibility Criteria All Master of Economics students are welcome to participate.
(except those who will graduate in this semester, ie. Sem 1, AY22-23).
3. Submission Process
  • The logo design should reflect the symbolic meaning of the NUS Master of Economics program.
  • You may submit the logo design in SVG (recommended), PDF (recommended), or high-resolution JPG or PNG images of no less than 300 dpi (white background or transparent background), and if possible, include the engineering project files.
  • Please submit your logo design to Chunjiang at yuchunjiang@u.nus.edu by 15 December 2022. and name your file "Team + NUS MEcon LOGO", state information about your team and team members, and describe your design concept in the email's main body.
  • Submissions must be made within the competition period.
4. Selection Process and Prizes
  • Department of Economics will vote to select the winning logo. The winners and winning entries will be notified via email by the Department of Economics.
  • Department of Economics’ decision is final, and no appeal shall be entertained.
  • There will be 3 winning entries, which as listed below:

1st Prize $500
2nd Prize $300
3rd Prize $150
  • Non-winning teams with complete work will receive FairPrice vouchers as a token of appreciation, and the method of awarding will be announced via email.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
  • All submissions must be original and should not have been submitted elsewhere. Any infringement of copyright laws will be considered invalid.
  • NUS reserves the right to request certain information or otherwise to verify the originality of a design.
  • All submissions must not contain any offensive content.
  • It is prohibited to use your artwork outside of this competition.
  • Submission will grant NUS full ownership rights to the design and NUS reserves the right to adapt, edit, modify, or otherwise use in any way it deems appropriate.
  • NUS is not required to disclose the participants the amended copy/design before releasing it to the public
6. Personal Data Protection Act
  • By participating in the competition and/or accepting the prizes, each participant and winner consents that NUS may collect and use their personal data, as well as disclose their personal data in order to facilitate their participation and acceptance of the prize, including contacting them at their mobile number or email regarding their participation.
  • NUS reserves the right to use the name, pictures/photographs, or likeness of any participant or winner in their marketing, publicity, or promotional materials at their sole discretion without prior notice to the participants/winners.
  • By participating in this competition, each participant/winner consents to NUS’ use and disclosure of their personal data for the purposes and manner described above.
