Mini-conference for NUS Econ Theorists
Over the last 20 years, our graduate program has nurtured a promising group of economic theorists, many of whom are now faculty members at good universities.   The inaugural conference for NUS Econ Theorists was held in July last year and another conference was held on October 28th.   Due to covid-related restrictions, both conferences were held online. The ambition is to have a face-to-face conference in the near future, when conditions permit.
This year’s mini-conference had six presentations, including three from graduating students (Soumen Banerjee, Liu Dongri, and Pei Ting) who are on the job market this year.   The following papers were presented at the meeting.
Soumen BANERJEE, National University of Singapore
Implementation with uncertain evidence
CHEN Yi-Chun, National University of Singapore
The Wisdom of the Crowd and Higher-Order Beliefs
LIU Dongri, National University of Singapore
Optimal Selling Mechanisms with Continuous Search Intensity
MIAO Bin, Renmin University
Revealed Heterogeneity in Risk Preference
PEI Ting, National University of Singapore
A Messenger in a Group
ZHANG Wenzhang, Zhejiang University
Multi-Task Principal-Agent Problem and Near-Optimal Contract
The conference was organized by Chen Yi-Chun, Pei Ting, John Quah, and Satoru Takahashi.
