We are excited to welcome five new hires to our department in the upcoming academic year.

Du Xinming joins the department as an Assistant Professor, completing her PhD at Columbia University. Her research areas are environmental economics, applied microeconomics and the digital economy. Xinming completed her bachelors’ degree in Environmental Engineering and Economics at Tsinghua University.

 

 

 

Ruben Durante joins the department as a Professor from Pompeu Fabra University. His research area is political economy. Ruben has a PhD from Brown University and has previously also been on faculty at Sciences Po.

 

 

 

Johannes Haushofer joins the department from Stockholm University as Goh Keng Swee Professor. His research area is behavioural economics. Johannes has a PhD in economics from the University of Zurich and a PhD in neurobiology from Harvard University. He has been a Visiting Professor with our department since 2022.

 

 

Shan Xiaoyue joins the department as an Assistant Professor from the Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania where she is now a post-doctoral researcher. Her research areas are labour economics, behavioural economics, development economics and applied microeconomics. Xiaoyue has a PhD from the University of Zurich.

 

 

Zhang Donghai joins the department as an Assistant Professor from the University of Bonn.
His research areas are macroeconomics, monetary economics, time series econometrics and financial economics. Donghai has a PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
