New faculty members in AY2021/2022
We are excited to welcome four new hires to our department in the upcoming academic year.
Angela Kui Huang will join the Economics Department as a Lecturer.  Angela has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Economics Department since 2016.  She holds a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her research focuses on macroeconomics.  She also holds a masters’ degree from Peking University.
Li Ming will join the Economics Department as an Assistant Professor after completing his PhD at Yale University. His research areas are econometrics, industrial organization, and the economics of networks. Li Ming hails from Shandong Province in China and holds a masters’ degree from Peking University.
Joining Li Ming as an Assistant Professor will be his classmate at Yale, Martin Mattsson. Martin's research areas are development economics, political economy and public economics. Originally from Sweden, Martin read Economics and Management at Exeter College, Oxford, and also holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
Soorawat (Tang) Srisuma joins us as an associate professor. Tang’s research areas are theoretical and applied econometrics and empirical industrial organisation. He obtained his PhD from the London School of Economics, where he also earned his masters and bachelor degrees. Tang comes to us from the University of Surrey in the UK, where he is a reader in econometrics. He is currently a visiting associate professor at our department.
