Global Studies 10th Anniversary Homecoming Lunch
Back in 2013, the Global Studies (GL) program was conceived by the NUS Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) as a response to the pressing need for an interdisciplinary approach in understanding the multifaceted consequences of globalization across political, economic, social, and cultural spheres.
Since then, NUS Global Studies has evolved tremendously and 10 batches of GL students have graduated, embracing the ever-changing world around us! In commemoration of this historic milestone, the NUS Global Studies Programme and Global Studies Alumni Network have come together to organise the NUS Global Studies 10th Anniversary Homecoming Lunch.
On 23 November 2024, we celebrated GL's tenth anniversary and shared some of the developments taking place in the program, such as the establishment of the Global Studies Alumni Network. We also learned more about what Global Studies can do for you as you progress in your careers and make important life choices.
It was such a pleasure reconnecting with so many GL alumni coming from diverse backgrounds, professions, and life paths. We plan to continue reaching out and reconnecting with our GL alumni. If you'd like to help our alumni stay connected, please feel free to email us! We'd love to hear from you.
If you missed out on the event, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Global Studies Alumni Network (nusglobalstudiesclub@gmail.com) or the GL convenor Dr George Radics (radics@nus.edu.sg) for more information on the next set of alumni events.
