The Centre was delighted to host Prof Gene Grossman, the Jacob Viner Professor of International Economics at Princeton University, on 3 April 2017. A world renown trade theorist, Prof Grossman's research over the past thirty years has moved forward our understanding on various important topics, including: the relationship between international trade and growth, the political economy of trade policy, and the labor market consequences of offshoring. Prof Grossman presented a seminar on a recent working paper with Elhanan Helpman (Harvard University), entitled "Growth, Trade, and Inequality".
