Jana Kleibert, Institute for Research on Society and Space (IRS), Erkner, Berlin

The Centre was delighted to host Dr Jana Kleibert for a two week period. In addition to delivering a GPN@NUS seminar and attending Centre meetings, Jana interacted with a range of Centre members in relation to her work on global production networks, service industries and urban transformations, building on her PhD work on offshore services in the Philippines (and Manila in particular). She also discussed possible future research on enclave spaces and the globalization of higher education in the Asian context.
