Philip Kelly, Department of Geography, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, York University (Canada)

The Centre was delighted to host Professor Philip Kelly from 3rd to 24th February 2019. During his stay, Philip presented a draft book chapter to the PEAS research group in the Department of Geography, and delivered a thought provoking seminar on different notions of economic ‘value’ in relation to global production networks, using empirical evidence from household and labour force surveys in the Philippines to illustrate key points. He also interacted informally with a range of Centre members and Geography department colleagues, and discussed potential research collaborations.
