Stephanie Barrientos (Global Development Institute, University of Manchester)

The Centre was delighted to host its International Advisory Committee member Stephanie Barrientos as a Visiting Professor for three months from 11th January to 8th April 2016. Stephanie is widely renowned for her work on gender, global production, employment, decent work, trade and labour standards, corporate social responsibility, fair trade, and ethical trade. During her time with us, Stephanie attended and gave advice at our biweekly Centre research meetings, delivered a research seminar, undertook research in the region, and worked on a book manuscript on gender and global production networks for Cambridge University Press. Stephanie was based in the Department of Geography at NUS for the three months.
