What our students say about the courses

"The programme has been immensely valuable in my role as a Senior Prison Officer. Its comprehensive curriculum in social work principles and practices has strengthened my ability to develop effective rehabilitation and reintegration policies that help ex-offenders rebuild their lives, reconnect with their families, and break cycles of intergenerational offending. The programme also cultivates leadership and management capabilities by fostering critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and a systems-level perspective, skills essential for driving meaningful and sustainable change in the correctional landscape."

"The NUS Master of Social Work programme shaped me as a social work professional in ways I didn’t expect. The core and elective courses expanded my perspective on how other disciplines intersect with social work, and the compulsory Capstone Project pushed me to gain the confidence to create a group coaching programme and share my findings with senior leaders in my organisation. Most of all, I’m grateful for the mentors and friends whose guidance continues to inspire how I practice social work every day."

Sprinkled with some fun, laughters and inspiration from my peers and lecturers. This sums my amazing MSW experience with NUS!"
