The orientation for incoming students serves to give them an overview of their next four years at NUS, and will address more technical issues such as course registration and major requirements. Details are available on this site, and an email will be sent to all incoming freshmen closer to the event.

Initiated by the Department's Students' Society, this welcome tea offers incoming major students the opportunity to get to know students from their cohort as well as seniors whom they can ask for advice. The Students' Society work with department faculty to introduce the department and share their experiences.
