Thesis Title: God, Ancestor and Social Network: Practicing Lineages in Singapore Local Societies (1830 – 1965)
Based on the historical context of homeland society and immigration, my research compares the effectiveness of lineage organizations in migration corridors of different communities, and at the same time, the flexible lineage strategies of Singapore Chinese communities are also discussed and analyzed when they are faced with various piece environments in overseas societies.
