The Department held a Zoom talk on 20 November to provide guidance to students who were interested in pursuing a PhD in Economics after graduation. A panel of senior PhD students and faculty members including Cheryl Aw, Kelvin Seah, Paul Jackson, and Sorawoot Srisuma engaged students in a lively session to answer various burning questions like:

• How should I choose the universities/programs to which I should apply ?
• What materials do applicants need to provide when applying to grad school?
• What courses should I take as an undergraduate to prepare for a PhD?
• How expensive is life abroad?
• How can I fund my PhD studies?
• What jobs can I expect to work in after graduation?
