Appeals
The four common types of appeals that students may submit using CourseReg@EduRec, including, but not limited to:-
- Unable to secure course
- Change lecture class
- Min workload waiver
- Unable to fulfill requisites
1. Unable to secure course (Appeal for course Enrolment)
-
- If you are not allocated the course(s) of your selection after Round 1, you should continue selecting the course(s) in Round 2 and Round 3, or select other course(s) with vacancies instead of submit an appeal for course enrolment right away. Please check here for the vacancy report. Appeals for course enrolment which are sent during the three rounds of course registration will not be considered and will be rejected by default.
- In the event that your course selection is not successful after all three rounds end, you may submit an online appeal under the title ‘Unable to secure course’. Please check here for Appeal Timeline. Please refrain from selecting appeal types 'Issues while selecting course' or 'Submit Course Requests' as these types are used for technical issues and requests for non-programme requirement courses, respectively. Appeals that are sent under these two types will be rejected by default.
2. Change lecture class
-
- If you wish to change the class section (eg. S1 to S2) after allocated with course, please submit an online appeal type: ‘Change lecture class’.
3. Min workload waiver
-
- If you are graduating in the semester and left with lower workload than the required minimum units (eg. 12 Units for FT), please submit an online appeal type: ‘Min workload waiver’. Once approved, you will be able to drop the extra course or register it appropriately.
4. Unable to fulfill requisites
-
- For pre-requisite waiver requests, please submit an online appeal type: ‘Unable to fulfill requisites’ and attach the necessary document(s) for the lecturer’s consideration.
- For example, if you select ECA5335 without fulfilling the pre-requisites, the system will prompt you with the following message. Please submit the pre-requisite waiver request and attach your undergraduate transcript with the highlight of the relevant course(s).
