*Please note that some classes for the Quantitative Economics track are offered on weekday daytime.
Students are required to complete the following to be awarded Master of Economics (Applied Economics) or Master of Economics (Quantitative Economics):
- Complete and pass 40 Units (10 courses).
- Obtain a minimum GPA of 3.00; and
- Where applicable, obtain satisfactory grades (at least grade C) in the Graduate English Courses conducted by the Centre for English Language Communication at intermediate level.
(International graduate students who are not native speakers and/or from non-English medium universities who take the Diagnostic English Test (DET) will, if not exempted from the programme, be channelled to the relevant level of the Graduate English Course, depending on their results. Career-Oriented Track (Applied Economics)
- 12 Units of Core Compulsory Courses (3 courses: ECA5101, ECA5102 and ECA5103)
- 28 Units of Electives Courses (7 courses: ECA5xxx)
Academic-Focused Track (Quantitative Economics)
- 12 Units of Core Compulsory Courses (3 courses: EC5101, EC5102 and EC5103)
- 28 Units of Electives Courses (7 courses: 2* EC5xxx + 5* EC/ECA5xxx)
