NUS Department of Economics co-organizes the 13th Singapore Economic Policy Forum

The NUS Department of Economics jointly organized the 13th Singapore Economic Policy Forum with the Economic Society of Singapore. The event was held on the 29th of October, 2021 at the Hilton Hotel. The theme for this year’s forum was “Sustainability in the Time of Uncertainty”.

Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development, was the keynote speaker. He talked about Singapore’s public housing policies, in particular details on the recent prime location public housing model.

The forum consisted of eight sessions covering topics like smart technology and electric vehicles as well as new developments in financial markets such as blockchain and green finance. Chia Ngee Choon also led a session on the topic of retirement work and health.
