Singapore Maritime Week 2023 - Youth Forum by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)

Dear Students,

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is organising a youth forum on April 28. Attached is the tentative program from MPA.

If you wish to participate in the event, do register your interest at ecsbox34@nus.edu.sg, stating your name, year of study, relevant modules read if any (e.g., EC3386 Port Economics or EC5386/EC5386R Issues in Port Economics), and a few statements about your interest in the Maritime industry by Tuesday, April 11, so that we can shortlist students for the event.

Best Regards,

Dr. Connie CHUNG and Dr. MUN Lai Yoke

Department of Economics

For Singapore Maritime Week 2023, we are organising a youth forum – Youth@SMW, and would like to invite around 5 NUS students who are interested in Maritime to join us. The main objective of this forum is to obtain insights from youths on their vision for the maritime industry, and what they can do to shape that future. We hope to understand youth’s career aspirations and relevant motivation factors for career choices (e.g., remuneration, nature of work, culture, etc.). Through Youth@SMW, we also strive to promote networking between IHL students and maritime industry reps.
