Over the past 2 days, SSR's trainers, Dr Xu Jianbin and Ms Nurul Fadiah Johari, held a workshop on Critical Discourse Analysis, a framework to uncover and examine power relations and social inequalities reflected through discourses, language and texts. Participants learned how to apply these skills and knowledge to their research involving marginalised groups, to mitigate the power imbalance against them.
