How do I register for the courses in the PC in Applied GIS?
We are pleased to announce that registration for the following courses is now open on the NUS Lifelong Learning Application Portal (L3AP):
- Introduction to GIS Basics and Data Visualization (24-25 September 2026)
- GIS Data Processing and Management (25-26 February 2027 - Dates TBC)
- GIS Spatial Analysis (13 - 14 May 2027 - Dates TBC)
HOW TO SUBMIT APPLICATION
1. Create an Account and Submit Application using this link: https://l3ap.nus.edu.sg/. Please search by short course titles instead of professional certificate.
- For Self-Sponsored applications, please follow this guide: Self-Sponsored Guide.
- For Company-Sponsored applications, registration must be submitted through your HR department. Please refer to this guide: Company-Sponsored Guide.
2. Letter of Offer will be issued once the class is confirmed.
3. Payment will be collected when you accept the offer.

How do I sign up if my company is sponsoring my course fee?
Company-sponsored applicants can apply through a link generated by the appointed HR contact from the applicant’s company, who has a registered corporate account on the NUS Lifelong Learning Application Portal (L3AP).
Note: Please do not apply using a Learner account (self-applications via Learner accounts are for non-company-sponsored applicants only).

What funding options are available for this course?
For the upcoming run of this programme starting from Sept 2026, the three individual courses will be fully self-funded.
What is the course fee for each of the courses offered under the PC?
Course fee is $1,700 (before GST) per participant for each two-day course.
Can I enrol several of my employees in the courses using corporate registration?
For corporate sign-up, you will need to activate/create a corporate account on L3AP. What software is used in the courses?
The software used for this PC will be commonly used, industry-standard GIS software ArcGIS (commercial).
Do I have to attend the courses in a specific order?
Students should start with course 1, Introduction to GIS Basics and Data Visualization, before progressing to GIS Data Processing and Management, and finally, GIS Spatial Analysis.
All new students who wish to attain the Professional Certificate should complete the programme within this upcoming cycle, as the curriculum will be revamped after the cycle completes in May 2027.
What is the mode of assessment for the courses?
Learners will be assessed through mini project presentations/demonstrations (individual or group).
