Happy 10th Anniversary to the NUS Social Service Research Centre!

As Singapore’s first centre dedicated to social intervention research, SSR has spent the past decade championing bold social innovations – bringing together researchers, policymakers and practitioners to build inclusive and resilient communities through evidence-based research and cross-sector collaboration.

Since 2015, SSR has carried out 26 research projects exploring salient issues affecting low-income families, youth and low-wage workers that has sparked important conversations on topics such as youth mental health and in-work poverty. The Centre has also built a strong reputation as a leader in practice-oriented research consultancy – strengthening the research capabilities of nearly 1,000 social service practitioners and 9 social service agencies.
