I received my bachelor's degree in History in Thailand, where my interest in the Muslim community first took root. Currently, I am pursuing my MA by research at the National University of Singapore, continuing my earlier research on Islamic communities in Thailand. My thesis explores an intellectual shift among Muslim communities in the Chao Phraya River Basin, an area where Muslims have long been central to the broader history of Islam in Thailand. Born and raised in Bangkok, a city shaped by its multicultural fabric, studying this community is, for me, a deeply personal journey, an exploration of identity where Thai-ness and Muslim-ness intersect.
