University of Geneva – Global Studies Institute – Spring semester 2025 – Seminar on Global Governance: the Art and Science of Negotiation

March 26, 2026

Since 2024, NUS has collaborated with the University of Geneva to participate in a diplomacy negotiation simulation, with the first simulation taking place in May 2025. During the event, students travel to Geneva for two days to discuss and debate a topic that changes each year. While in Geneva, students also get the chance to meet with diplomats and representatives from prominent international organizations.

In preparation for the event, students attend ten 2-hour online seminars over the semester. During these seminars, NUS students meet with students from the University of Geneva, University of Zurich, and ETH. They form teams and engage in activities that help prepare them for the simulation. Participants will receive a certificate of completion and are encouraged to make connections throughout the program and during the simulation.

Students in the MSc program will be able to participate in the program and receive NUS course credits towards their degree.
