Ruiying Zhao is a PostDoc is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography at the NUS. She holds a Ph.D degree in Environmental and Ecology Science from the Zhejiang University, along with a B.Sc in Geography from Wuhan University, China.

Her expertise lies in the terrestail ecosystem modelling and vegetation remote sensing. She is currently working with Asst. Professor Remi on projects investigating the impacts of land-use changes in South-East Asia, particularly concerned with the impacts of deforestation on earth greening and carbon emissions.
