Three stellar recent graduates of FASS and NUS College(opens in new tab) have been recognised for their outstanding commitment to learning beyond borders, building community connections and celebrating cultural roots.

Kashvi Raj (NUS Global Studies(opens in new tab) and NUS Communications and New Media(opens in new tab)) and Lois Naomi Ang (NUS Political Science(opens in new tab) and NUS Global Studies) received the Batul Izzuddin Global Citizen Prize, donated by Dr Mustafa Izzuddin(opens in new tab) in honour of his mother. The prize recognises students who embody the spirit of global citizenship through academic excellence, cross-cultural understanding and meaningful engagement with communities around the world.

Their stories show how FASS and NUS College students are using interdisciplinary education to connect with people, places and ideas across borders — from reflecting on global histories and identities to supporting Indigenous cultural knowledge and sustainability.

Also featured: Mathivanan Divyaa (NUS Economics(opens in new tab), who received the Syed Ahmad Khan AMU Memorial Prize. Her recognition highlights academic excellence and a deep engagement with South Asian studies, culture and representation.
